The Stafford Lake Rattler is a USAC sanctioned race. A USAC license is required to participate. Follow the links below to learn about the options for obtaining a license.

As of October 21, USA Cycling’s new Sport:80 platform now offers a better, simpler experience. New users automatically receive a free first-year race license once they:
If you have previously held a USA Cycling license this free license will not be applied, the system looks at the email address and a few other pieces of data to determine if the rider is net-new.

New users can now access a free first-year race license, while existing members benefit from lower overall pricing through auto-renewal.

NOTE: We are starting the first wave at 10:30AM to allow teams and riders from further away to avoid having to camp or stay in a hotel.
The Stafford Lake Rattler is more than an MTB race - it's a celebration of the MTB community.
The Stafford Lake Rattler XC will be a traditional format MTB XC race with a ~4-mile course. Participants will complete multiple laps depending on registration class.

REMINDER: DISC GOLF TRAILS ARE CLOSED UNTIL 3PM FRIDAY.
The course is a mix of singletrack, fire road and double track. It utilizes the Bike Park and the hills to the south of the park that contain trails closed to public riding.

Stafford Lake County Park is located on Novato BLVD just west of Novato. The park consists of recreation and picnic areas along with access to shoreline and trails. Highlights are the Bike Park and Disc Golf Course.
The 17 acre bike park site is located within Stafford Lake County Park in Novato. The full spectrum bike park will provide progressive opportunities and experiences for riders of all ages and skill levels- beginner through expert, to participate in positive, healthy, and active outdoor recreation.
