Stafford Lake Dual Slalom Details

We thank our participants on October 19 for coming out to the first Dual Slalom race on the newly refurbished course.  Saturday's race was the first Dual Slalom in over 5 years. It think we can all agree Stafford Lake Park did an amazing job on the course!

It's time to put that primo course to use for another showdown.

We are making lots of improvements based on our experience at the last race.

Some of those improvements include:

Scheduled waves by category.  We started all waves together thinking that we could handle the 50 riders.  We were wrong.  To resolve that problem we are breaking the race into 5 different scheduled waves.  The exact details will be published soon, but there is an example below of the draft wave schedule.

Limited brackets. Depending on registration numbers, we will limit brackets to 8 or 16 based on 2 qualifying runs (one in each lane). Riders who do not make the brackets will only pay $10 – we will refund the rest of the entry fee.

Results screen. There will be a large screen for racers to see results for each run.

Other:

Laptop at start for timing team to see brackets in real time.

More shade at start.

Water at start.

The dual slalom will feature a bracket scoring system with two timed runs for each heat (one on each line).
