Stafford Lake MTB Weekend Events
Stafford Lake Rattler XC
The Stafford Lake Rattler XC will be a traditional format MTB XC race with a ~4-mile course. Participants will complete multiple laps depending on registration class.
The course is a mix of singletrack, fire road and double track. It utilizes the Bike Park and the hills to the south of the park that contain trails closed to public riding.
This is a wonderful venue with excellent trails and stunning scenery. It is also the former home of the NICA High School League State Championships and the future home of more NorCal racing! The course is fun and flowy with a couple of moderate climbs and many punchy climbs.
Classes/Categories
Middle School Class Boys: 6th/7th Grade, 8th Grade; Girls: 6th/7th Grade, 8th Grade (younger riders may register for Middle School).
Beginner Class Men: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+ ; Women: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Sport Class Men: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+ ; Women: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Expert Men: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+ ; Women: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Open/Pro: Men; Women
Laps and distances will be announced closer to race day.
Short Track XC
Stafford Lake has been home to the Stafford Shorty for many years and offers a great variety short track course options.
The Stafford Lake MTB Weekend will feature a short track race that is significantly different from the Stafford Shorty course.
The short track race will be held Saturday morning.
Race the short track as a standalone or as one in multiple events.
Classes/Categories
Middle School Class Boys: 6th/7th Grade, 8th Grade; Girls: 6th/7th Grade, 8th Grade (younger riders may register for Middle School).
Beginner Class Men: 18 and under, 19-44, 45+; Women: 18 and under, 19-44, 45+

The start time and course will be released closer to race day.
Stafford Lake Dual Slalom
The Stafford Lake Park team has done some great work to refurbish and improve the dual slalom course. In fact, the dual slalom was used as part of the Stafford Lake Crusher Cup on July 27, 2024.

The dual slalom will feature a bracket scoring system with two timed runs for each heat (one on each line).
